Thankful and Graditude for your Family this Thanksgiving

Start a new tradition this Thanksgiving.  Make everyone a personalized gratitude keepsake.
Do something memorable this Thanksgiving that will make everyone attending feel special and cherished... well maybe not cherished but at least noticed.

This is really easy to do and won't take a lot of time or cost a lot of money!  A win-win if I do say so myself.

For Thanksgiving I made everyone in my family a personalized gratitude keepsake or award.

I took small picture frames and inserted a card printed what made that person special to me. Our family included lots of extended family.

Using Word I used with fancy font and printed it on some nice paper the more unique and elegant the better to complement your frames.

I used small inexpensive frames from a dollar store.

For example,  Clark can fix anything,  or Nola is kind and generous.

I was able to express my gratitude to each of my family members in a way that was sincere and thoughtful without it becoming too sentimental or sappy. Presenting each person with their personalized frame was very moving and everyone loved their frame or award.

The project was inexpensive and quick but the payoff far outstripped the investment of time and energy.

Step-by-step Instructions

1. On your computer using Word  or another text publishing software.
Write something nice about each person that will be at Thanksgiving. How big depends upon the size of your frames. Try using the label making settings in Word.  Use your creativity on font size and paper selection.

3. I wrote stuff like Brent is smart and generous, Alexis is talented and funny. The more personalized the better.

4. At dinner or when you have everyone's attention, present each person with their own award or keepsake.

If you are a Scrap Booker you can always use cards and embellish them to your hearts content.

Really it is the thought that counts. This project can be as simple or complicated as you want.

I would error on the side of simple and I wouldn't get too caught up in the process of making the cards.

After all you want the sentiment to be the star not all the work you did to make them.

I hope you try this simple and easy craft project to show gratitude for you family this Thanksgiving.
